AI Product Leader · Detroit Area, Michigan

Hello, I'm Mohamed.

I lead teams shipping agentic AI at enterprise scale.

13 years turning complex data into decision systems people actually use, from powertrain engineering to ML platforms to agentic AI. On my own time, I create public apps and run autonomous agents on real errands.

A path from hardware to agents

Career snapshot · Ford Motor Company · 2013 – Present

I spent eight years learning why vehicles fail, built a tool because finding root cause was too slow, and have spent the five years since turning that tool into an AI platform.

Product Development Engineer

Six rotations across powertrain design, calibration, and vehicle launch. Even here, built tools to cut analysis time. The pattern starts.

Role details
  • Product Development Engineer, Ford College Graduate (FCG) Rotational Program · Dearborn, MI
  • Completed 6 rotations spanning research, advanced engineering, design, calibration, and launch, including a one-month plant floor assignment.
  • Developed 2 new powersplit transmission designs and built a tool to rapidly compare design options.
  • Directed 2 planetary gearsets from prototype through production.
  • Resolved 50+ powertrain launch issues on the 2015 F-150 launch team as lead PMT for the VOC fleet.
  • Cut stress-analysis time by building a CAE-based regression, the first of many find-it-faster tools.

Six Sigma Black Belt & Data Scientist

Solved major warranty issues by hand, got frustrated with how slow root cause was, and built the tools to beat it.

Role details
  • Six Sigma Black Belt & Data Scientist, Powertrain Engineering · Livonia, MI
  • Led cross-functional Six Sigma investigations resolving 19 major warranty issues, each saving up to $1.6M.
  • Built an R-based simulation tool using Rainflow analysis to predict the outcome of a 6-week transmission test stand stress analysis from minutes of test data.
  • Designed and built the rapid root cause analysis tool in Alteryx and Tableau using large-scale data fusion, cutting 3 weeks off root cause analysis and saving millions; released 10+ versions, trained 150 super-users, and presented it across the enterprise.
  • Completed a data science boot camp and taught 6 waves of Six Sigma Green Belt training.

Product Manager

Took the tool I designed zero-to-one as an enterprise ML platform, driving $100M+ in annual warranty savings.

Role details
  • Product Manager, Connected Vehicle AI & Quality Analytics · Dearborn, MI
  • Productized the root cause analysis tool I designed into an enterprise ML web platform, leading an 8-person cross-functional team.
  • Delivered $10M+ in warranty savings in the first year by cutting time-to-root-cause by 3 weeks.
  • Drove enterprise-wide implementation and adoption, scaling impact to $100M+ in annual warranty savings, with an accompanying financial savings calculator built into the platform to keep impact measured.

AI Product Leader

Leading a 12-person team from ML to agentic AI: LLM pipelines, agentic summaries, and chat-with-data agents shipped, with multi-agent orchestration in development.

Role details
  • Senior Product Manager, Connected Vehicle AI & Quality Analytics · Dearborn, MI
  • Own product vision and roadmap for a cloud-native AI platform serving 500+ monthly users and delivering $30–50M annually; lead a 12-person cross-functional team.
  • Launched, scaled, and transitioned ownership of 3 analytics products from concept to enterprise adoption, and led 15+ high-criticality investigations, including one that informed 129 recalls covering 7 million vehicles and others saving millions in warranty costs.
  • Led development of LLM linkage pipelines connecting warranty claims to connected vehicle diagnostic data, surfacing emerging issues ~45 days earlier and saving millions annually.
  • Layered Weibull analysis on the linkage data to predict each issue's lifetime warranty cost; teams re-prioritized by projected cost instead of failure rate, lifting the value of selected projects 10x, with $100M+ in addressable lifetime warranty spend in one department's annual portfolio.
  • Defined and launched agentic AI features: explainable page summaries cutting ~20 minutes of analysis per engineer, plus chat-with-data agents.
  • Directing the multi-agent roadmap: orchestrator agents routing across specialized sub-agents and causal-inference problem-solving agents modeled on engineer reasoning, both in development.
  • Led the team's AI adoption, moving from chat-based AI to agentic coding workflows; personally built 7 internal automation tools in the first 7 weeks of having OpenCode, including an executive hot-sheet generator and an embedding-based search tool.

Personal agentic operations

Claude Cowork & Dispatch

Not chatbot use. These are autonomous agents given access to my browser, files, calendar, and task manager, running real workflows with human oversight.

Task management & execution

Creates my to-do list through the Todoist MCP, organizes it into projects and sections, then picks up the tasks it can handle itself and flags the rest with proposed next actions.

WhatsApp communication channel

Checks WhatsApp for incoming messages and responds on my behalf, turning WhatsApp into a working channel that gets around Dispatch's limited chat interface, where links don't work. Senders are verified by phone number, not display name.

Google Drive management

Pulls source files from Drive and produces deliverables directly back into it, so finished work is waiting in my Drive and viewable on the go.

User research & testing

Runs UX analyses of my apps with multiple personas, walking each through the product and producing a report of the user journey and pain points.

App QA & validation

Dispatch agents exercise the web apps I build, validate flows, and produce structured findings reports.

Shopping & purchase analysis

Works from my shopping list, picks the items we need, and researches the best options to buy, then finds and tests coupon codes, builds carts, and runs buy/wait analyses before purchases.

Customer-service delegation

Brief an agent with the full case file (serial numbers, purchase dates, issue history), let it converse with support agents on my behalf, and monitor periodically instead of sitting in the queue.

Prompt engineering

A maintained prompt library and production-grade autonomous task prompts with decision trees, security rules, and fallback behavior.

Projects & persistent memory

All work lives in projects, giving each its own custom prompts and file access, layered on a typed, indexed markdown memory that carries profile, preferences, and context across sessions, so no session starts cold.
